Charm, technical skill and suppleness characterize the programme of this intoxicating entertainment displaying the magical colours of the Orient! In three refined, ten minute sets, in a passionate and sensual atmosphere, in traditional costume (dress hiding the flesh and a silk shawl knotted around the waist) or draped in coloured materials and luminescent sequins, our two dancers will celebrate femininity among you in harmonious swaying and modest undulation, expressions of love and joie de vivre, desire, passion and even elegance.

Originally from the Middle-East (Lebanon, Turkey, Iraq) and the Maghreb countries (Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria), discovered during Bonaparte's Egyptian campaign, oriental dance, ritual and sacred, was for a long time condemned by puritanical western society and the Church, hostile faced with the nudity of these dancers wrongly considered as women of loose morals. An expression of fertility and vitality, the particular feature of this dance is its dissociation of the body. Each of the parts moves independently of the others.

To the melodious sound of youyous, but also the darbouka, tambourine and lute, instruments that cannot be dissociated from oriental dance and the rhythms of which differ according to the styles, initiate your guests into this gracious bodily manifestation, a true invitation to travel, called "El raqs el sharki" in Arabic.
